For the circles in a world of square boxes
Celebrating neurodiversity. Supporting the people who walk beside it.
Let’s say the quiet part out loud…
You can love your child exactly as they are and still find parts of this life incredibly hard.
You can understand their needs and still have needs of your own.
You can advocate fiercely and still get tired of having to advocate.
You can celebrate difference and still grieve parts of the parenting experience you imagined.
You can be grateful, exhausted, proud, worried, hopeful and completely over it — sometimes all before breakfast.
More than one thing can be true.
And you don't have to pretend otherwise here.
Everyone asks how your child is going. Few ask how you're going.
When you're navigating neurodivergent family life, so much attention naturally goes towards the person who needs support.
The appointments. The school emails. The research. The forms. The routines. The advocacy. The planning ahead. The explaining. The adjusting.
Somewhere amongst all of that is you.
This ND Life exists for the people navigating this life alongside the people they love — particularly the parents and carers carrying much of the thinking, organising, advocating and emotional load behind the scenes.
Because supporting your family shouldn't require disappearing inside the role of supporting everyone else.
Your experience matters here too.
What do you need support with right now?
There isn't one version of neurodivergent family life — and there isn't one place everyone needs to begin. Start with whatever feels closest to where you are today.

About Us
This ND Life exists because neurodivergent family life is about more than neurodivergence.
It's also about the people.
The relationships.
The invisible load.
The systems families have to navigate.
The expectations they bump up against.
The moments nobody prepares you for.
And the person you become somewhere along the way.
This ND Life was created as a place for honest conversations, useful resources and thoughtful support for families living outside the square boxes.
We're here to celebrate difference without pretending difference is always easy.
To support families without trying to "fix" them.
And to remember the people walking beside neurodivergence — not just the person with the diagnosis.
A gentle reminder...
You don't have to have all the answers today.
You don't have to research every option tonight.
You don't have to reply to that email immediately.
You don't have to get every decision right.
And you don't have to carry tomorrow while you're still living today.
There is no perfect way to navigate this life.
Sometimes, enough really is enough.
We'll be here when you're ready.
